Asif Ali as Abby and Nithya Menon as Angel acquit themselves well. Sreejith Ravi scored well through his new villain face. Other casts like Reena Basheer, Janardhanan, Anil Murali, Vijay Menon did their roles as usual well.
There is nothing outstanding about the story, and it may seem like umpteen love-stories narrated on celluloid before. But the problem here is that everything goes away in the absence of a credible script. Things would have been a bit more effective with good performances but that is exactly where matters tend to head from bad to worse.
The technical crew indulges in no wizardry. The songs of the film are quite ok level. Cinematography by Manoj Pillai is only normal one. The visuals are fine but the music is pretty ordinary.
If you have loved Sibi Malayil's earlier films, get a copy of some of them watch it once again.There is an inherent honesty about the storyline for sure, but even then it barely affects you with a shaky script and the narrative style is a tad too old. "Violin" doesn't stick to a love movie formula.
Verdict:Below Average.
